In this week's unplugged Tuesday, we talked about cryptography, and how important it is in our world today. The history of cryptography is very fascinating, how the knowledge of secret code and help or destroy lives. In today's world, our privacy depends on cryptography, many incidents have happened over the year where data were stolen because the security weren't strong enough, and cryptography proves how important it is to keep data secure. A new Benedict Cumberbatch movie called Imitation Game is coming out soon! It's about Alan Turing, one of the world's greatest genius that cracked German Enigma code. I can't wait for that movie!

Four more days left until the Mario project is due! I can't wait to finish my Mario game. I am closer and closer to the baseline already. My Mario can now jump, move left and right, and my next plan is to add in sounds and repeating background. I fixed some bugs where my Mario left and right sprite won't disappear when he jumps. It feels great to find bugs and squash them! I hope my project will get an A.

In this week's unplugged Tuesday, we discussed about the invasion of privacy, Edward Snowden, and Richard Bledgett. From Snowden's point of view, privacy is a right, and we cannot give up that right just because we don't have anything to hide fromt the NSA. The government have violated over 2000 violations in a single year, there are multiple programs going on that can allow NSA to request information from big company, which puts our privacy at risk. From Richard Bledgett view, the director of NSA, the NSA is helping the government and the United States, protecting the country from cyber attack. Personally I think that privacy is a big issue, and the NSA should not be spying on us.

We finally received our first project of the class! I can't wait to begin a new project. This project includes us creating our very own Mario game. I have always wanted to make a game my own, and I can't believe I get to do this in computer science class. The guideline of the project seems rather complicated, but when I actually look into it's actually not quite hard to do. I hope I will get a good score on this project!

Today in class we went over our quiz from last week. After we finished going over our quiz, we begin working on our field of flowers. I finally finished my field of flowers today, it looks very pretty and cool. I also added another sprite (a bunny) that moves randomly on the map. I hope we will get to make more cool projects!

Today I look forward to complete topic 2. I just learned how to make a block and am trying to make a polygon with just 1 block. I hope I will get to make a game soon.
